Hello people, I promise this is the last post of the day. I know there is a thread about a meet up which is all cool and I am up for it, but would anyone be interested in marketing seminar and networking session? I work at a venue in Manchester and I can get a really nice room with a private bar and leather sofas etc.

The event would be free but drinks wouldn’t be, just a normal bar in that respect. I would do a speech on marketing and I would invite others to do so to. Even if people wanted to get up for 5 minutes just to say something they had tried and really worked, or something that people should avoid. We can all swap business cards and see what comes of it. if it is a success we could make it a monthly thing.

I think we need at least 20 people to make it worthwhile and have at atmosphere. People can share ideas on marketing and suggest or swap books with each other. I think this could be a great little get together and just the meeting could get some publicity in itself for all those involved.

What about having regional meetups, say once a quarter, in e.g. London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glagow?

Networking is always a great idea, i am from the south so would prefer a southern meet. But if anyone is interested i have posted a network event in the events forum.

There is a big issue about location, it is going to be ewasier to have several small events round the country, rather than one big one.

If you are interested in a Manchester event then please e-mail me at [email protected] with "networking event" in the subject bar.

I am looking to do this on a Sunday afternoon, most people will then not have to take any time off work. If you are coming from outside of Manchester the venue is very easy to get to, it is Opposit Manchester University and Manchester Academy on Oxford Road.

The venue is Jabez Clegg, www.jabezclegg.co.uk

It is on Oxford Road, very easy to get to.
