Hello everyone, just joined the forum as I'm looking to relocate to the UK from Italy to start a new business there.

Currently I've got a B&B in tuscany but the tax here is crippling so I'll be coming back to the UK soon as! I'm looking into buying something food related as both me and my partner enjoy that aspect of our current business the most.

Hope to get and give lots of advice and support to fellow ukbf-ers!

My step-daughter ran a B&B and restaurant in Italy for a couple of years near Ancona, inland, which is not far from the Adriatic Coast. We visited her and it was beautiful and she found it hard to make ends meet and she came back last year, shame, but at least she tried.

Good luck with settling into the UK and get involved in our forums, you will make some good friends and contacts here.

Thanks! I'm really excited about moving back to be honest! I have read quite a few posts on here where people are complaining about the uk, but compared to here it's an entrepreneurs dream! I guess the proof will be in the pudding as they say....

Sorry to hear your step daughter didn't stay Barbara, we've actually done ok, we took on 50k of debts from the last owners and will have it all paid off by march, plus made ourselves a little profit - but thats doing things the italian way if you get me

It's not possible to make any money of you dont!
