I need advice in starting up a property management recruitment agency

    Can anyone please advice me on how i can go about setting up a property management recruitment agency. I have little experience and i need help on how to know the do's and dont's on setting up a recruitment company.
    I have seen some website offering to train but their charge is so much and i cant afford to pay.
    i need advice on the certifications and qualifications.
    If anyone can show me a free link to get all the templates needed to set up the company.

    My advice would be to go and get experience in a recruitment agency first before even considering setting up your own agency.
    No offence but this is why many agencies fail as the owners do not have the experience and background needed.
    Also, this is another reason why the industry gets a bad name.

    If you don't even know the answer to any of the above, then you shouldn't be considering opening a recruitment business imo.

    Thanks richie for your advice but i'm actually working in one agency currently. I have been there for couple of years. Its different when you are working as a staff to when you are opening and running your own company. i know all the basics, all i need is more advice to avoid the pitfalls, also the legal issues

    Sorry your post didn't come across in that way.

    I would suggest joining the REC then. With regards to templates, surely as a recruiter you would know these already?

    I would strongly strongly suggest you really make sure you do your research first and make sure you have funding to carry you through possibly up to a year.

    I set up on my own 18months ago having spent 10 years in the industry. Whilst I'm reaping a great return now.. I NEVER expected to deal with the things I have over the past 18months! I have seriously had the biggest learning curve and am still learning day in day out!

    Although the market is on the up it is still difficult to get clients to pay on time etc and recruitment is never easy at the best of times! I would really urge you to make sure you have enough cash flow to cover such setbacks and all other costs for a considerable time! Fingers crossed you wont need it!

    However, if you have any specific questions, please do pm me as its all still pretty fresh in my head! be warned i'll only reply if your not going to be competition for me!! lol

    Couldn't agree more, I have been in recruitment for 14 years, owned an agency for 7 years of that and this last year has been the biggest learning curve ever.
    Recruitment is still very tough at the moment and wouldn't really recommend anyone to set up their own agency unless they have been at Management level or in the industry for a few years at least.
