Depends... on the crisis management front, if a client rang and told me that they had just been accused of sleeping with a family pet and the papers had it on film then yeah, guess so... but that seldom happens (anymore - you know who you are !)
For me its pop to london Flu permitting, drop of pressies. Eat a lot, drink a little (driving back to northampton following day)
Cook xmas dinner for misses, collect her 10.30PM!!!! xmas day. blasted Doctors.
But then we will toast xmas together or xmas dinner and have a romantic one in
I cover most tech support over christmas (the techies have time of) but it really means just checking things during commercial breaks. Probably about 3 hour work spread over an 18 hour period of drinking and eating.
I've got to finish a film script by the end of this month and I've still a lot of work to do. So, my mind will be on things such as dialogue and plot structure etc while eating Christmas dinner.
I couldn't say, but I do spend a fair amount of time in the IT/Internet, Ecommerce & General Business forums, so I'd like to think they account for the majority of my posts. Probably just lying to myself.
Having had no holiday at all this year (unless you count a week in York hunting for business premises) and with the busiest period of the year coming up. I am under strict instructions from him indoors to relax and not even think about the business.
No chance at all of that, but I will try not to check emails every hour . At least now I don't work from home there is no temptation to just pop into the workshop and do an hour or so - its a half hour drive!
Hope you all have a great Christmas and a prosperous 2006.
That's true, but that refers to design work. As I don't do the actual work, it involves me speaking to the clients, marketing and keeping everything in line. The designers work their magic with my briefs. It does involve a lot more time than I'd like, but it does have its benefits. Most clients call in the evening as well to alter what was done in the day.
I've had 5 people contact me regarding work through these forums now. I'm doing my job...kinda
Apart from making a dent on this forum taking up more of my time from now on, I think its gonna be a no for me, have to keep one day sacred for getting lashed!
You just said how I wouldn't make it, I was just joking by saying people have contacted me, thus getting people by being on the forum. Thought I'd add that to avoid any argument.
