look for a local accountant

Dear All,

We are starting to look for a good bookkeepin service who can look after our accounts and tax. At the moment, we are using Quickbooks to record our invoice, bills, paying VAT etc. We hope outsouce some general accounts works and let us focus on our business. Any one who recommend a good accountant to us is appreciated. You can PM me or leave a message. We are based in Manchester.

We are in a similar possition and looking for similar, ideally someone local to Bolton area..

Currently we have logged everything for the last 18months in excel and done VAT by hand so to speak but looking for someone whom can handle the quaterly returns and also our upcoming first tax return for a small trader.

Anyone care to post up..

There are a number of us accountants on the forum - I can't think of anyone in the Manchester/ Bolton area offhand, but I'm sure amongst us there must be one or two!

There are advantages to having an accountant local to you. However many people are appointing accountants who aren't local, as it's very simple to work remotely via phone and email. This also gives you a lot more choice when it comes to choosing an accountant.

Have a look at the sticky at the top of the forum for tips on choosing a good accountant and please let us know if you would consider working remotely, as it will enable more of us to respond.

Thank you all the replies. I have replied a few PM and talk the service in more details.

We have no experience work with accountant remotely but I am open to this choice. Having accounts done remotely also means we have more freedom in locations
