    Hi,

    I have just setup a website to create graphic design work,I am 18 and currently living with my parents.I am also a car dealer.I have setup a website and am currently advertising on a motorcycle forum that I am a member of.I came here to ask for prices on advertising but I thought I would register and make a post to see what you guys think and if you can give me some pointers on how to get established etc.Thanks

    Hi Ben - keep up the good work, mate - it's good to see a bit of entrepreneurial spirit :)

    I'm right with Eagle on the graphics app thing. You'll get lots of angry clients if you only submit bitmaps. A lot of clients like to be able to scale things, plus bitmaps, even at super-high resolutions, can look really iffy when printed on to gloss.

    You don't need to spend a fortune on softs, either: download MS Acrylic/Expression from www.microsoft.com/products/expression/ - it's not quite as good as Illustrator, but it should do the job very well and let you create full scaleable vectors that you can save in .eps and similar formats.

    Also, check the spelling, punctutation and grammar on the site: "letterheads" for example, has two "t"s.
