2 Routers 1 Property

Hi,
If you needed to wifi connections in one property you would have to run a length of RJ45 from the main hub to a second. However I was wondering if technology had cought up with its self.
Are we able to have to routers running from 2 different telephone points in the same property? Both can work with the same ISP just need to extend the wifi and LAN connectivity.

No, but if running Cat 5/6 is difficult then powerline networking (sometimes called Homeplug, don't be put off by that) might be possible. A choice of devices here:

I'd choose the 85 Mbps devices now, though I still have some 10 Mbps from years ago still working fine on my home/office network here.

Provisos:

You need to plug them directly into a wall socket. An extension lead will either slow them down or cause them not to work.

The sockets you connect need to be on the same side of any meter, and preferably on the same circuit breaker.

A great option thanks - Shame its only up to 200mbs as I have a 12meg line into the property but still a good option

200mb Homeplug will more than cover the speed supplied by your 12meg line. I use the Xyxel 200mb Homeplugs here and have done for around 2 years with no problems whatsoever.

You could always just pop another wireless access point and use WDS to extend the range without using additional cables. Solwise also do a meshing A/P to allow you to cover a very large area from the unit the size of a pack of fags.

Yup!

Seriously though, Homeplugs are the easiest way to get ethernet elsewhere - no configuration, just plug in and away you go. Theres usually a good deal to be had on Ebay (Solwise sell mainly to resellers, who in turn sell them on ebay).
