    Hello everyone, I came to this site via Pistonheads and I must say I wish we had found it ages ago.

    We are Hiflow based in Hampshire www.hiflow-pumps.com although please don't be too critical of the website as it does need a lot of work.

    We have been going for about a year initially supplying Water Pumps, Plastic Connectors and Garden Shredders to the Trade.

    We have fairly recently started to sell and install Rain Water Harvested Irigation Systems (Rain Water Drains off your roof through some clever Filters to remove Leaves etc. and into a large Tank where it is then pumped out via an irigation system using pop up sprinklers and porous pipe) At present we believe we are the only people doing this in the UK

    What myself and my Business Partner hope to get out of Business Forums really is advice, of course if anyone would like to get anything from a small pump for there Pond to a full blown Rain Water Irigation system then I am sure we could arrange some Business Forums Discount :lol:

    Thank you for all of the positive responses so far, we do sell Well Pumps that are used in very dry third world countries although I don't believe we have supplied any to Malawai yet.

    There is no reason at all that it would not work although I would think it would be best to have as big a tank as possible, I presume they get tons of rain and then nothing for months, obviously it is not drinking water (the concept was orignally developed for flushing the toilet with) but it would be ideal for watering crops with.

    Unfortunately nothing quite as nice as that, maybe in a few years when we are making more profit, I actually have a Mitsubishi FTO (the GPX naturally) and an Audi A4 it is a TDI as well[/size]

    Hi Ben I used to work in the environmental and climate control areas in the 70's. Shading and misting system for a rain forest area in the Edinburgh botanical gardens was interesting.

    Rain water utilisation is a good niche, we have lots of rain in Scotland.
