Come on guys - it's a bit harsh. Blatent advertising aside, everyone needs to start somewhere. Maybe it'll grow into something good?...

To the forum admin; I'd suggest putting some content there before advertising it. Perhaps some controversial posts too? Anything to get peoples' brains working.

Yes, I think Eagle's right. He's probably not thought he'd done anything wrong, some people just don't think before doing things.

I think you should just delete the thread admin and we'll wish him good luck with it

But look at the form. 'Thashrif' posted in introductions, but did not introduce him/herself, therefore showing no intention of wanting to 'share' with the Forum; it was solely an ad', albeit to a 'product' with very little ingredient.

However, as with any product/service, we can either choose to have it or not. I guess the 'nots' win.

There are other forum owners who are regulars on this forum. They contribute to this forum and I contribute to their forums, but all we all do is have a subtle link to our own forums in our signatures.

There are ways to do things and ways not to, and spamming any forum is not the done thing.

I personally have no objections to other forums owners posting on here and mentioning their own forum, so long as they show respect to this forum as I would to theirs.

Poor old Thashif! I suspect a short life for his website. The reason being, the success or failure of a venture comes down to one thing, and one thing only. Specifically, the management's decisions. What he's done is tweek the tail of his major (and larger) competitor! This, I feel, is a bad management decision. If this is a sign of his choices then I think his new venture will be short lived!

Really sorry if you guys think that I was trying to advertise my site, all I thought is that some of you guys might join my forum and start talking about business related stuff so I would get some traffic to my site.

I still an 18 year old Kid............. and not much knows about business (I mean like you guys) so these things happen when you are a new to some thing I believe. So please except my apologies everyone...................

I like the forum that have sent up for franchising (even though there are not any posts on it yet!)

I for one will certainly have a look from time to time, but my loyalties remain firmly here!

I know from experience that getting a forum to take off is one of the hardest things you can do. Its somthing that needs the expert advice of an SEO.

I feel sure that with your background and knowledge of forums it might be nice for you to team up with thashrif and swap notes.

I would suggest that the two of you get together over on his new forum and chat about different topics. It would be good to bounce ideas around with someone of a similar age. You could be a moderator on the general business section.

Get in at the start of something big! This could be your chance!

right, have just had a look again at the forum and need to add a few more pointers.

The 'Pink' section for businesswomen is wrongly titled. The term 'Pink' tends to mean 'Gay' in the given context, ie 'Pink Dollar' etc (correct me if I'm wrong btw)

So in the context of a womens forum, it seems a tad patronising to assume that we all like wearing pink, or like to be associated with pink (although gay people don't seem to mind apparently)

Another thing I noticed was the term 'mom', in the States, maybe so, but here in Blighty, it's just 'mum',

also a bit confused about the single mum/mom' bit. I am not a single mum, but I do run ,my own business and would stil find a forum like yours helpful.

These are just suggestions by the way, will check back soon, byeeeee!

Thank you very much for your suggestions and you can now notice that I have made some changes in the site however I still believe that the "Pink" in the title gives more a girlie feeling than a gay one.

However since this forum is just in the beginning stages you are more than welcome to recommend another name. Another reason is that a name such as that attracts attention just like it has done with you, hopefully more favourable than not. We at newbizuk are indeed pleased that you have taken your time off to correspond with us and please feel free to do so in the future as well.

I would have to agree: the "girlie" thing is a little overwhelming, although I take the point that it is a good discussion point. On another forum I use there was a debate recently about a firm who have launched a set of pink power tools aimed at women. Most of the women on the board said that they felt patronised by the idea that things had to be pink in order for them to appeal to them. At the same time, I bet that company sold a lot of their pink power tools on the back of the ensuing debate!

On a more serious note, you have spelt "woes" wrong in your forum title - plurals do not require apostrophes
