SMTP account for bulk emailing

I have a client who wants to send out a bulk newsletter but wants to use an alternative domain hosted with another company as there are some issues with his current host.

we need the account to be set up with all the right reverse DNS, SPF, Domain Keys and whatever else to try to get maximum deliverability.

The account wont be used for hosting web content, though its not a problem if the account has some web hosting capacity as well.

The biggest priority is that we can connect up to the account via SMTP and send around 30k emails on a weekly basis and the maximum number of emails make it to their destination.

Any hosts here like to step up and help me get this set up please PM me or whatever.

I could do with this setting up pretty much straight away.

We were doing a similar number of emails per week using a 'disposable' smtp server at lunarpages.com

If I remember right we could send as many as we liked although I did keep it to a trickle of about 600 per hour.

This is something we can do if you want to drop an email to [email protected] we can sort out a quote.

DNS alterations would need to be made to make everything work plus we need to know the type of email being sent and a sample if possible.

I use pure360 for our email send currently we send about 200,000 a month for a number of clients and its the reporting out of pure which puts it head and shoulder above the rest.

If you do use then mention gravitate media as you referer and they should be a discount.

Oh they also have a free trail.

I thought you might as it would be far cheaper just make sure you do the setup right i.e. feeback loops, rdns, domainkey's, dkim etc.

The core reason why we don't offer cheap bulk email services is that it is a pain to maintain and we focus on getting as many emails to the user's inbox as possible.

Be warned the first email out will probably drop 10-20% of subscribers from your list, due to dead addresses etc. Also if it's the first time you are sending large amounts of email from the mail servers IP address send the emails slowly. A sharp increase in email volume will cause you issues i.e. receiving mail systems haven't seen you sending bulk email before so your reputation will drop and the delivery rate will decrease.
