I have relatively simple accounts and try to do them myself but I have come across a query which I hope someone can help me with.
I incorporated my Ltd co in Sep 08, and decided to shorten my accounting period to 31 Mar 09 for a variety of reasons. So i duly notified Co. House. Therefore my first set of accounts only cover 7 months.
I have completed my accounts for Co. House and now I have to send them to HMRC. Am I liable to pay Corp. Tax on the profits during that period within the 10 months after the end of my accounting period, or does the Corporation tax have to be calculated over a full year?
