Hello

Are their any decent paypal alternatives...im fed up with the rubbish support they provide and want to take my business elsewhere...

Ive looked at Sage Pay and Nochex but was wondering if there are any other (tried and tested) outfits out there.

Thank you

There are loads of PayPal alternatives. Below are just a few:
Google checkout
2CheckOut
StormPay
E-gold
MoneyBrokers
and the list goes on and on.

You do however want to use a payment system that your customers will be happy with using which is also a trusted name so Google Checkout might be worth your while looking into.

The only other alternatives to paypay i would consider is nochex and google checkout.

SagePay, worldpay, secure trading are also good if you want a PSP.

Also, it's probably best to find out what your shopping cart has to offer. Don't want to go down the wrong path and find out it doesn't integrate.

I wouldn't touch google Checkout. It has been a resounding failure for them.

I would agree that GC hasn't gone to Googles 'ultimate' plan, but it is one of the more recognised payment solutions.
When it comes to consumer confidence it has to be an option.

I'm not suggesting that there are any problems with it, just that it's long term future may be doubtful?

They only payment gateway we ever recommend is sagepay.

Supperior to any others we have found.

Not a fan of paypal although most clients want to use it.

go the whole hog an get a merchant account, like streamline, with worldpay.

Offer this AND paypal, giving buyers a choice.

Would definitely recommend SagePay. Been using for over 2 years, although I also offer Paypal as so many people have an account and want to use it.

Be warned that Google Checkout no longer accept Maestro cards. Not only that, but they did not deem this change significant enough to notify their UK merchants!

Really! I bet you it's down to the 3D secure.
I know with SagePay you have to enable 3D secure for it to become an option to the customer.

HI

To be very honest i think you should avoid paypal. I had a bad experiance with them regards to the setting up the account which was was verified and credit checked and as soon as my developers configured the gateway paypal decided to cancel my account. they are very strict on security and at times they will require you to send bank statements photo id just to simply verify you . setting up a gatway wasnt a simply as paypal claim as paypal US has a completly different setup to paypal UK especially if you bussiness goes global.

Since RBS purchased worldpay its become much better quality for users the integration is very simply and much much more less complicated than paypal and they simply tell you everything they need before you test account becoms live.
