Sorry am I the only one concerned that as a company they offer website design to clients and yet cannot offer SEO? Most businesses don't know about SEO and happily purchase a website none the wiser.
I know not every design agency can offer SEO but I think at least they should all partner with or be able to recommend one and make it clear to their customers that although their site may look beautiful and glittery, they won't get many visitors.
Mind you I would probably have less clients if that happened!

I do agree to an extent, Web design companies should really know how to code a website to make it SEO friendly for a client

This is an open question. Which part of your site services are you taking about?
Web design is HUGELY competitive, so you are not talking about a few quid here. I think you need to give some more info before a sensible reply can be given
