Help..What Details Do I Provide?

Hi

I have a client that wants to make a payment into my account but...
what details do I have to give in order to do this.

Sorry if this is a dumb one but I have`nt had to do this before :?

Hi,

You need to give the account name, sort code and account number.

I reckon all they would require is, the sort code & account No.

I only do internet banking and pay everyone using this method and Barclay Online need the account name as well, but other places may be different. It doesn't hurt to give all three and then hopefully they won't come back with further questions.

I think they can only make the payment in person at a branch of your own bank. Or they can do a transfer over the phone or on the internet from any bank they use.

They can make the payment at any bank at all but unless it is your or their own company they are likely to be charged and have to provide ID for themselves.

Technically all that is needed is the sort code and account number but some banks do ask for additional information like the account name.

If they are doing international money transfer then they do also require some further information but for UK only then that it
