Ideas on CRM solution

Hi,
We have client that use many different CRM packages that I could suggest however Im not sure that all of them fulfill your requirements however...
We do have a garage as a client that currently uses and from what I hear gets on very well with this http://www.agmsoftware.co.uk
This allows you to not only manage internal admin such as suppliers, parts stock and ordering... but as you mentioned also sends reminders to customers when their MOT is due etc...
Let me know how you get on looking at these

If you are interested in sending text messages to remind your customers when their MOT is due, you may be interested in a company called TxtLocal. www.txtlocal.co.uk
I haven't used it, but we are thinking about using it to send reminders to customers when their boilers need an annual service. You can set up the reminders well in advance, and you can easily copy and paste the phone numbers into the programme.
Out of curiosity, how do you currently record your customer data? What system do you use?
If you use Excel to record customer data, you can upload it to a Smartsheet and set up reminders that will be emailed to you. http://www.smartsheet.com?u=FU1049859
(Unfortunately, you can't send a reminder email to the customer from the Smartsheet.) I mainly suggest this, because if you do use Excel it will save you the time of entering your customer data into a new CRM. It also has some other easy to use features that allow you to click and drag rows into different categories and create custom drop down menus.
