Hi all, I'm a desperate man!
I haver been given the go ahead to buy and build 30 new desktops for my employer but have just found out that Sage won't support 64 bit systems.. We are running Sage 200 2009 which installed fine, along with .net 3.5. As soon as the machine boots up I get the message "listener could not start" which leaves the little Task Launcher icon at the bottom right with a no entry symbol over it. Also, When I open Sage 200, I can get past the login screen, am presented with the "select company" window and then it completely freezes upon selection of the company... to the point of having to shut the machine down (you can't even end the process).
If I try to connect to Sage system Administration, I get the message "error occurred while trying to connect to the sage 200 server" and this is what's at the end of the link under the 'view details' -
MessageNo connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:80Message
Means nothing to me! but we have many users alrerady connecting (on 32 bit machines) with no problems.. Sage won't help apart from the chap there said he was running sage 200 2009 on a vista 64 bit machine no problem!
I don't want to have to use these very high end desktops for vista 32bit if I can possibly help it, so ALL suggestions appreciated!
Thanks for reading all this!!!
