Podcasting is rapidly changing from being the reserve of 'techies' to being a mainstream way of promoting an individual or a company.

If you've not heard of Podcasting or want to find out more, I have written a short 'How-To' guide for creating & promoting your own Podcast.

Its Free, No Registrations required & you can download the guide from http://www.novotronix.com/podcasting/podcastingguide.pdf

If you need to know any more then get in touch.

Thanks,

Steve

hi all

it does seem to be the way its going. Being an IT engineer etc i am ashamed to say i only leaned all about it in the Gadget show this week  .

A way of downloading news on a daily basis, radio clips. Can this be a replacement of email do you think?
A new thing to computers like text has been to phones?
I think all they need now is a video Podcast and they are certainly in business. Or sorry, has this already been done?

Al,

As you suggest it's been done.

Podcasting allows pretty much any sort of binary file to be attached, including video. There are also now players that support video podcast streams (iTunes from Apple for example).

Chances are video iPods won't be far behind.

Some other possible applications for podcasting are:

Applying regular software updates
Changing user manuals / help files
Supplying a stream of images such as a photo blog

Podcasting is a pretty versatile technology really. Not quite as revolutionary as the web and HTML was, but not far off.
