    Hi,

    Can anybody recommend a good WYSIWG html editor, I have been using an old copy Dreamweaver and it is very good but I need to buy a couple of copies for other people in the office to use and I am looking for something more cost effective.
    The only function I would really like is good template support like Dreamweaver which lets me set up a template for a page and then create new pages using this template only allowing certain parts of the page to be editable and then if I edit the template all pages based on the template get updated.
    Any ideas ?

    I have not tried personally but am told that FrontPage is actually good these days. (At one time if generated poor code and was to be avoided like the plague.)

    You might be better looking at using a server based template engine. There are several open source engines available. Alternatively consider using a content management system (again, there are popular open source options). You can then get people focused on adding/updating content rather than on the underlying structure.

    On a similar theme, why not stick with Dreamweaver but give the other people Contribute which is a cheaper product from Adobe/Macromedia to update Dreamweaver templated sites.

    This is a bit of a stab in the dark as it is not clear how you want to work, that is what people will be doing business wise rather than at the technical level. Are you wanting to update your own web pages for example? How often? etc.
