I am unsure as to the rules around here.

There seem to be many threads started by people asking for help and feedback regarding their website in this and other UKBusiness sub-forums.

I think these are great, others must like them too as they attract a lot of discussion and I and others learn a lot from them. Some have had well over 100 posts. The orginators are often 'free members' like myself.

However, recently when I asked for some specific help regarding my site my thread was summarily removed without so much as a PM to explain why.

So, what are the rules and why?
 
Hi Lark.

Website feedback threads are something you get to request when you're a paid up member. Its likely that your thread was moved over to the website feedback section that is only visible to paid members.

The problem is MODS around here are a little slow due to the lack of them. However a few more have recently been appointed so hopefully it will be managed a little better.

If you see a thread you disagree with, flag it up using the ! button top right of posts.

Help is at hand, there's a large item on the main menu (take a peep immediately above you, it say's "Rules"):)

If your thread was asking for advice about your website then it will have been deleted as site reviews are only allowed for Fully paid up members. Sorry, I know this sounds a pain it's the way the forums works I'm afraid on this particular topic.

As for a PM... again we mods are voluntary mods and have our own businesses to run as our primary concern. If time permits then we'll often PM a member over any actions but if time is tight then it's quite impossible to be able to get into a dialogue with every member. I know it sounds like it should be a 10 second job but we're all doing the best we can which can sometimes leave members puzzled, but then again... the forum rules are readily available and if members took some time to read them then they'd find that most of their potential questions would be answered.
