Thought I'd pop back on here and give our good news.

As you may or may not know we run Temptations Direct, well we released a press release yesterday confirming we had taken over the website of one of our competitors. Purple Pleasures is now also run by us, this will double our turnover over the next 12 months and will mean more staff needed.

So onward and upward.

No, we are going to run them as two seperate sites. The umbrella company is Venus Sales, but each site will have it's own uniqueness, eg I'm currently talking with a couple of writers in the sex industry to write for Purple Pleasures.

Slightly off topic but I notice you are using press dispensary. Would you recommend them for getting press releases in front of the right people?

I haven't had any real experience of anyone else to give a comparison. But I've had a number of emails regarding this press release and a telephone interview. For a previous release we were in our local paper and I had a radio interview.

Well done! My daughter keeps going on about starting an adult store for a specific clientelle'.......can I pick your brains on hosting - that seems to be the bugbear?

You will have problems with hosting in the UK, unless you get a dedicated server. Ours is with Donhosts.

Your best bet is to look overseas, hosts in the US do not have a problem and there are a number of hosts in the Netherlands.

On the note of opening a site for a specific clientelle then she needs to really look into what she wants to do. This is a seriously competitive industry and I've said it before but anyone coming into the industry now is facing an uphill very steep struggle.
