Online article sites

I remember seeing links to online article sites in this forum but can't seem to find them now!
I want to submit articles to them to try and get some links to my site...

Anyone remember what the best ones are?

Do you guys find that doing these creates any useful traffic or is it good just for getting up the search engines?

some of those are better than others for generating links and some will take an auto submit program after you register others you need to do manually.
