Patrasys - Need to be Stopped and Reported

We have had made major issues and problems with Patrasys since January 2009 and are getting nowhere in trying to resolve the problems of them. They are withholding our funds and are either unable or unwilling to release payment, despite promises to do so. Their customer service is virtually non existent and the delay in responding to queries is frightening.

I would urge any one thinking of using this Patrasys to find an alternative. They are one of the most unprofessional companies who are involved with finance, that I have come accross in 25 years. Be warned.

I need to refer our own situation to the regulatory authorities. Does anyone know if they are regulated and what organisations need to be made aware of their conduct.
 
Might be worth a chat with Trading Standards or Business Link (free government-sponsored service), as they might be able to help you find resources to deal with your issues.

I too signed up with Patrasys in January this year, but something just wasn't right. Poor response to my initial questions, inactive phone lines, and a few other niggles led me to have a bad feeling, so never put any transactions through them.

Sorry to hear of your problems, but it looks like I made the right decision. I'm using paypal at the moment - far from ideal, and not without it's own problems, but so far, so no major problems.

We use Patrasys and have found them to be very good at what they do. We noticed that they only deal with companies that provide the goods or services the card holder pays for, within at least 2 weeks. They stressed this to us when we contacted them prior to signing up and advised us to read their websites terms and conditions so as to understand how they work. If you do not ship your products out within 2 weeks, then they are probably not the best for your business. Read their terms and conditions on their website and you need to always read these prior to signing up. They also stress that for all new signups that Patrasys needs to contact the buyers of the first couple of products so as to confirm that the seller is legit. Hope you get this sorted out soon. Try contacting your account manager.

You have been extremely lucky - I have found every aspect of our dealing with Patrasys is a complete shambles. They take days to respond to a simple enquiry whilst holding onto our funds. We made Patrasys aware that we did not deliver a product to our clients on the application form. They approved or application and allowed us to process in excess of £15,000 of business (over 3 weeks) and furthermore advised us at least 20 times via email that they would be releasing payment by bank transfer.

Despite these written asurances that our funds would be released they have still not done so after nearly 4 months.

When you can reach them on the phone they seem to make it up as they go along. They do not even answer the phone using a company name, it feels like you have disturbed someones sleep and you always get the same person who answer the phone. This person also seems to be the "credit controller", "fraud prevention officer" and "CEO" - I would not be surprised if he also has a broom lodged somewhere. This is clearly a one man band or very small operation which is very distubing considering they are responsible for holding client funds.

From my subsequent research, which we should have done prior to signing up, we are clearly not alone in having real payment problems with Patrasys. Deal with this comapny with caution as it has all the signs of ending in tears.

We are now referring our problems to the FSA and Trading Standards as this type of conduct should not be allowed to continue. At best it is sharp practice and potentially alot worse, as we are yet to receive payment. Be warned Patrasys will harm your business.

I have been using Patrasys for a few months now, their communication is very slow but I have had no probs so far with payouts.

Possibly but it always concerns me when the main protagonists of a thread are new posters. La Manga has made two posts, both highly critical of Patrasys and Electronica_UK are acting on behalf of Patrasys.

It still amazes me why ANYONE would use a lesser known Payment Service Provider to handle the most important part of their business, accepting and processing payments :|:|

You can get excellent transaction rates through main stream PSPs supported or run by UK banks or well established businesses (RBS Worldpay, SagePay, Paypoint etc) without running the risk of having Frankie with his virtual office service keeping your money.

For the sake of saving a tenth of one percent of transation fees why take the risk?

You are right we are a new poster to this forum and are going out of our way to ensure that other users of this forum can take note of what has happened to us. Patrasys have created a real headache whilst holding on to our funds.

We received an email about 10 days ago from Patrasys advising that payment would be made within 24 hours - guess what - no payment has been received!!

If there is someone on this forum representing Patrasys interests then they need to give some sound advice to their client to get a support system in place, as it quite clearly does not work.

im shocked to learn of theses postings as a new user of patrasys since january we have had problems with payouts.


again we have not received our payments. we withdraw our money after waiting 7 working days and having already delivered the goods we expected payment.
we waited and waited and nothing.
sent patrasys several emails no response.
patrasys telling me over the phone last week our funds would be our bank by tuesday at the latest again no money.
then today we recieve an email from patrasys informing us our account is shut.we cannot log in or check of orders or will they send us our funds.
even though we have delivered they wont pay.

im at our wits end here and was rudely spoken to on the phone
when i suggested their customer service was poor. it appears i was right with their service.

why do they have to treat you this way when all you do isput your trust in them to process and pay out .

we have abided by the terms and conditions and they wit hold our money without a legal reason.

What on earth are we supposed to do when we have done nothing wrong.

can someone please help.they owe me over £3000

im simply totally disgusted .. never in my life have i come across such dishonest people. a little further digging shows they have been struck off by companies house previousley. 2 dissolved companies. . lies of huge new customer sign up.. 300o march or feb is it ..2560 in january they said last time due to transx.what nonsesne,their company accounts show they are tiny fish making out their big fish.sadly it catches up eith you at some point.

i will contacting the london press and trading standards as well our company solicitor issuing count court papers. had enough of them.
not playing games, lie after lie with them.
caused us alot of cash flow problems

It is not appropriate for me to speculate as to what is happening. The only people qualified to speculate would be the card schemes. I have dropped a note to both visa and mastercard contacts I have and asked them to look into this properly on your guys behalf.

Will let you know when I have heard back. In most cases though unless its one of our merchants that we are speaking to them on they will not comment back.

Anyone who needs processing PM me and I will get you sorted urgently with a direct relationship to an acquiring bank. There is enough people on these forums that use Iridium and are happy so I am sure you will have no issues getting a reference.

Yes it does, yet another tin pot set up with poor procedures, worse customer services and questionable ethics.

I ask the same question every time one of these companies gets exposed. Why does anyone trust this type of business with the most important part of their own business?

If the is one area of business you just simply do not take risks with and that is in the processing of money. It is beyond belief why anyone would use anything other than a mainstream PSP when there are such good options available :eek:

We are still waiting for credit card payments from Patraysys. Nearly 6 months has elapsed and we are still owed over £5000.

Patraysys answers are meaningless as they have not delivered on one promise.

Any suggestions on how to deal with this situation or should I refer the whole matter to a solicitor and let them deal with it?

Did you reach to the account manager or try a visit to their office (listed on their contact us page) and get yourself cleared of all the issues.

I too have chosen Patrasys to be my payment processor, although have tried others for my small business i want to try Patrasys. As far as i can say, the customer services is responsive enuf (better than paypal or sagepay).

The best thing is walk into their office and let us know the updates.

The account manager is a person named <<removed>> - who also acts as fraud prevention officer, CEO, support manager, payments manager and also answsers the main switchboard telephone number!!!!

He is also the person who has made promise after promise and just makes excuses. I am now at the point where I need some action - not promises or excuses.

Let me repeat in this thread what I stated clearly in a similar thread about Patrasys.

- Do not post specific names of employees.
- Do not post details of private correspondence.
- Do not make threats against individuals.

Such comments and/or the messages as a whole will be deleted and you'll receive a strike. I understand that emotions can sometimes get the better of us, but there's no excuse for not thinking before you post. So far, I've edited only one message, but I thought a polite warning was in order before this thread follows the path of the other.

PATRASYS have recently noticed that there are individuals who are going around different Internet forums stating that Patrasys is a scam. This is wholly inaccurate information and the reasons for this are listed below: Patrasys clearly state that if a website is involved in selling illegal goods or products which are clearly listed in our terms and conditions, we will have no option but to suspend their accounts.
We can confidently state that there is NOT a single legit merchant, who has followed our terms and conditions of trade that can complain that we have not honored our terms of the agreement. All the negative reviews about Patrasys have been written by some of these fraudulent merchants who have been stopped from using our services for some of the following reasons:

Individual 1: Leethacks.com
Was discovered to be involved in credit card number generation and theft.

Individual 2

ethos.eu

Merchant was selling unlicensed medication, and sold this in bottles with no labels or any medical license. This was after we carried out a secret shopper exercise. Merchant was given 28 days to provide medical license or proof the products were legit and never provided this information. Their account was closed as a result of no response from merchant having been received after 45 days. An investigation was launched with the MRHA.gov.uk


Individual 3:
Taking payments via Patrasys and not delivering goods to the card holders. This was after the merchant assured Patrasys that the goods had been delivered. Customers subsequently complained about non delivery of goods and Patrasys suspended the account after merchant continuously verbally abused and threatened to attack a member of staff. (UK Business forums member hsm1212)


Individual 4:
Accepting card payments for accommodation in Lamanga Spain that would only be available after 6 to 8 months. This was against our terms and conditions and we proceeded to suspend the account. We agreed to pay merchant only after the holiday accommodation was provided. Merchant proceeded to write negative comments about Patrasys.


Individual 5:
Selling worthless ineffective viagra tablets


Conclusion:
Patrasys is a legit company and we have a very large number of very happy customers. We have counted less than 10 total complaints on the Internet to date of which most of these complaints are unfounded. We offer a service second to none and have implemented measures to ensure that this does not happen again. If you have any questions, please contact Patrasys by sending information to *** and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. For all our customer using Patrasys, we will continue to ensure that we promote their business and keep them happy with the service we offer.


I guess they have decided to respond !!

Where Patrasys is concerned you need to go straight to the Police, and not even bother with Trading Standards. It appears to be run buy 1 guy from a council flat in South East London, and ALL addresses listed on his site are accommodation addresses. Make the Police aware of this when they track him down.

I read these threads (and the transax) one with a a degree of disbelief. The payment gateway must be one of the most important parts of a website, if it doesn't inspire confidence then your customers are going to drop out. They're taking YOUR money. I am continually surprised by the drive to save £10 a month and use companies like this as opposed to one of the bigger gateways, that are known and trusted by your customers.

Business chose this instead of paypal??? At least paypal and google checkout are recognised by the customer.

Is it really worth that tenner??

Maybe these gateways have a much lower set of requirements. I would imagine someone banking the cash and not paying tax etc would be drawn to that kind of set-up.

Users of this forum will be interested to find out where this scam is being operated from; as we all know, this scammer hides between a multitude of respectable maildrop addresses in the UK and the US; when you phone him, he will, when pushed, tell you, he is in "Surrey", but even that is untrue.

The 0844 telephone number on the Patrasys website is diverted to a landline at:
