If you process more than £1,500 through Paypal each month.

You can get a reduced rate, you just have to apply (from memory, its Merchant Tools > Transaction Fees)

Yeah, I found this out recently. Was paying 3.4% and now only 2.9%. Seems nasty of them not to just drop it down automatically for you!

Surely if you are trading this month each month, a Merchant account from your bank is the better option?

I only pay 1.8%

Very true.

We only use it as a payment option with most using Worldpay, but a surprising amount choose paypal.

And some may be doing a lot of ebaying
