copy cat

Hi everyone

I have recently started my own business this year and found your site while searching for some business information. Looks like a lively forum so thought I would join in.

Having been a photocopier and printer engineer for many years I decided to start on my own. I have a local dealership and an online alternative for businesses that wish to buy and run there own copier www.discountcopiers.co.uk.

Hope to pop in every now and then, so if anyone has any questions on photocopiers, printers or fax machines drop me a line and I will try to help.

Welcome to the forums!

I love the idea for your business - the good quality copiers can be so expensive to hire/rent!

I had a quick at your site - do you know of a line of bulk scan/document imaging solutions? I am thinking specifcally of the HP Scan to Email solutions? At the moment I have a cobbled together solution in our office using a multifunction and a server! I am really interested in good duplex page scanning and clean paper feeds!

Hi Andy and thanks for the welcome

To answer you question I believe the HP scanjet 7650 or 8250 would be what your are looking for, have a look on dabs.com. Alternatively an Olivetti D16MF would provide long term reliability and would also print, scan (to email) and copy on A3 and A4, but only in B/W.

The HP scanners are good but the photocopier route is a much more robust option and will probably out last the scan only options.

In the end it all comes down to you and your business requirements, but both options are worth a look.

Hope this helps

What a great response! You just made my supplier list!

:-) I run a business that buys or assists other companies in buying technology so I am constantly on the look out for suppliers that know what they are talking about and can articulate solutions to people!

What are the best contact details to get hold of you on so we can have a quick chat?

I look forward to speaking with you,

Andy
