To be honest, unless you're using Google's PPC (paid advertising), there is no quick way to get your website well-ranked in terms of organic traffic.

You have to read up on the essentials of search-engine-optimization and make changes to your site so that it is easy for search engines such as Google to extract the information they want to best index your site.

There is no better place to start than searching "seomoz seo guide" in Google and reading their free guide.

If you want any other pointers, then just fire me a message either on here on via my site as listed in my signature.

Best of luck with that!

Andrew

Something we pick up on with eCommerce websites is the URL structure is normally badly setup- make sure you keep this as clean as possible. It also depends on which software you are using too.

Improved e-commerce rankings?

1) Unique page titles (usually via product page SEO plugin)
2) Unique page content (each one needs variance so no dupe content exclusion)
3) Search friendly URL structure (mod rewrite or SEO plugin does this)
4) Submitting product feeds for search shopping indexing
5) Keyword filled image names on product pages
6) SEO campaign (link building) to help promote deep-links to categories and/or popular product

Hello,

Of course we do it. our system fits in 100% to SEO and contains lots of features in it.
But we are interested all the time to hear what the forum members think about these ways and of course to hear about other creative ways they know, that belongs to seo and e-commerce.

wish you all the best!

The key is to understand that having a site that ranks high in the search engines isn't always a site that sells lots of items.

A suggestion would be to think at selling on different platforms are you able to sell your items on Google Base, or Amazon? These platforms allow you to sell with instant exposure but also provide the opportunity for your brand to get noticed on.

Other techniques that could be used are

Keyword rich page titles
Keyword rich unique meta data
Search engine friendly urls,
Well written content
Site optimisation and coding.

The world of SEO is vast and an ongoing task at any given point with any website. The best approach to be taken is too benchmark what you wish to achieve each month, and continually drive different SEO techniques to encourage this.

Why don't you try Google Merchant to promote your products and get your product pages indexed relatively faster than earlier.

You can get almost as immediate result with PPC campaigns as your product selling and promotion wherein Organic SEO it's almost as hard as to get your results in the competitive positions. Have ever seen the ebay products pages listed in Google search results very often. Obviously the answer would be No but you still can try to overcome to issue and get the better rank in search engines by employing better ideas to optimize your website to search engines
