Think it is good to combine a number of online and offline strategies.

A good mix of online and office marketing is generally required for a lot of businesses.

What you do and where may depend on your target market.

We do various online things ranging from free online adverts on websites such as Gumtree up to Pay Per Click.

But an importance thing to remember is that if you are directing potential enquiries to your website, then your website must be able to convert them into sales.

Insights into advertising...

Thanks all for some of your points, I think they're very relevant. It's always important to ensure that off line as well as online are considered for your business. However, I thought that I would create a survey to understand how people are influenced by different channels- I asked 2000 people. See the results here.

I only started it about 20 minutes ago but you can see the results coming in, in real time - Pretty interesting.

Also, if you fancy asking a question, why not register and ask away. For UKBF members/readers we're offering 100 credits free (£20). Simply type
UKBF2012 when prompted for 100% off 100 credits.

Hi Pattestinguk.

Regarding the results to the survey I ran. Seems that Word of mouth is stlll the best channel to influence people, followed by online.

Interestingly comparison sites are the most likely specifically within Online to influence people, followed again by user review sites.

And it seems that people are finally starting to trust online spending, as 18% indicate that they are willing to spend around £500 online. See the results here

Be sure to view by gender to see how men and women differ...

at the present time if you want to promote your business then online marketing is an effective tool to do that. And yes side by side you should do some offline marketing too.
Along with that telemarketing also brings great profit to any business. If you are not able to manage all these works then you can outsource some work to the third party. It will not only save your time but also man power.
