Ways to improve conversion rates

Hi guys & gals,

I'm having a little trouble at the moment. I'm getting plenty of leads / hits / calls but having trouble converting into sales.

Does anyone have any good tips to improve your conversion rates. Any ideas greatfully accepted :D

Thanks!

Change your website. If they are landing and bouncing off then change the content, navigation, colours, images, call to action, position of the elements on the page. Re-design the header, footer, sizes, backgrounds, borders, headers and everything else.

That's all you need to do. If your aren't getting leads then its the site that is wrong.

Do you for example have a USP, a clear focus, a call to action? Are you forcing people to search for your telephone number or prices or location?

Are you even selling your products or services or are you just displaying them?

Analyse your visitors. Find out what they are doing and change the site as I suggested to point them in the right direction.

However, it doesn't look official. It looks like a dodgy homemade site or an afiliate scheme. I wouldn't book my parking through you.

The site has got so many things wrong with it. I'm still totally confused as to who you are and what you do. It's no wonder people aren't converting. I can't offer any advice here though, site reviews are only for full members.

You're getting plenty of calls? i.e. People are visiting your website, and calling you?

If so, what are their questions? What are their objections? Where are you losing the sale?

I am not a web developer/designer, but I took a look at your site as a prospective customer and have a couple of things that come to mind.

Where is the clear navigation menu? Usually this is found at the top of the website. Also the site just seems very cluttered and unorganised. A visitor will only spend a few seconds trying to work out a site and I would have just given up and gone elsewhere if I am being honest. You need clear, simple and easy navigation to convert your customers.

Also I think you need to really make your USP clear. Why would I book through your site and not just pay at the machine when I get to the airport, or book a hotel directly with the company? I just couldn't quite figure out why I should take any action on your website.

Hope I don't sound too negative, just trying to help

i think you need to use the web space more effectively, as someone already said navigation is key and its hard to see where to start, and its all squeezed into a small area, what should i be reading? which bits are important.
happy to put you in touch with my guy who build www . telemarketingsearch .com

As mentioned the website does not give off a professional/offical image, it looks untrustworthy to me.

I'd have a clear and concise navigation at the top along with a phone number, theres other things as well but I think one of your main problems is creating that trust and credibility.

I agree the site is a joke.

But when you say you are getting plenty calls do you mean they are ringing up and you are failing to turn them into customers?

Quite hard to assess why that would be. Record one of your calls and upload it to the forum :D

I'd just invest in a new site that actually gives some credibility to this whole operation.

Thread closed.

The OP asked for general conversion tips. It is against the rules to review the web site. Any more reviews or specific comments regarding the site and I will have to lock this thread.

Sorry.

:p Alright then.

Dalepie, I'm not talking about your site specifically, but GENERALLY, if a website happened to be rather poor from a design perspective, then it would require a professional re-design as a fundamental starting point.

After all, generally speaking, whilst it's the content of a website which does the selling, an unprofessional design can have a negative impact on conversion rates.

Also, from a general point of view, if someone happened to have a website which was affiliated with a larger establishment, then they should have some copy which clarifies what their role is in relation to it. For example, are they the official supplier of such services, or are they an independent provider? If someone happened to have such a website, they would need to build a certain level of trust.

All hypothetical though, of course.
