Hi All

We have previously built sites using Actinic - but are doing a project at the moment using OSCommerce.

We've managed to manipulate the design a lot and we've got it all looking very nice. However, we havent gotten to the payment stage yet.

Is this easy to implement? We dont want to take credit card details directly from the site itself (as there isnt budget for an SSL page) but instead have the order details sent through to a 3rd party secure site e.g. Worldpay, where at this stage the customer would enter their details. Can OSCommerce do this - is it straight forward?

From the forums and articles i've read all i've been able to find is solutions where the customer pays directly at the store's website.

Yes, it is pretty simple. osCommerce has a contribution for most popular payment systems, including Worldpay, and it's pretty easy to set up.

One final quick question.

In Actinic when you download orders it filters out customers who gave up before entering their actual credit card details on the secure payment page (e.g. the products they picked come through, but no payment) - and it also sends through completed orders that've been processed by the payment service provider.

Does OSCommerce differentiate between orders which are paid for and ones which are only part completed? I imagine it does, but any info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Yes, osCommerce has an Unsold Carts contribution which lists all the shopping carts people have started but for some reason have not completed, for example if their card is rejected.
