I was using some software on my laptop on my normal log in when it crashed.
I was unable to get it going again so I did a restart. At the stage where it says loading your personal setting and just after it has made a noise it now freezes forcing a hard reset.
I can log in to the other accounts.
I can log in if I do a safe start.
Normally I find problems like this seem to be fixed by a safe start and then a log out - without doing anything - and then a normal start. But here when I log out and do a restart in normal mode it freezes again.
Can anyone give me some pointers as to what I should be trying or looking at next
