I am going to be exhibiting next week and am all in a tizzy about gifts giveaways. I am working to a small budget but want something innovative. Anyone got any suggestions?

Hi Karen,
I take it you are exhibiting your consultancy business? Do people normally give gifts away?
Have you got a brochure / leaflet / business cards you will be giving out? Are managers / decision makers going to be attending this exhibition?
My early thoughts are that maybe you could hand out postcard sized things where you have a quotes either from happy staff you have trained or managers. Something like:
'By creating a database to log all membership applications, I have all the information in one place, can produce reports for my manager, and process information more efficiently.'
'I was on 'Information Overload' until I learnt our sotware could help me regain control of it.'
Why not put this on a little box or something and then inside a little card with a tip like a short cut tip or something?

Forget about giving things away - if you are there to drum up business you want contact details not freeloaders!
Hold a prize draw for a crate of champagne (£60 - delivered by laithwaites/majestic etc)
All you need on the stand is a sign and a drop box - then anyone on the stand has a single aim - getting people that match your customer profile to put their card in the draw.
The real work starts when you get back to the office and start phoning around the people - or send a mail shot out to all the entrants with the draw results and a brochure for your services.
If it is a long exhibition (3 days+) you need to plan in downtime and replacements on the stand - it can be knackering selling for 8 hours a day!
Have fun - and make sure you network with the other exhibitors! They can be a great source of business leads. (they are also the ones that steal most of your freebies!!)
