Hi guys

2 questions I thought you'd know the answer to:

when you make changes to keywords, etc etc, how long before google/yahoo/whoever recognise that change?

Also, is there a tool that you can enter your site address into and it says 'your site first appears on page 10 in google' for example.

thanks very much

Have you got google analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/en-GB/) ?

I think how often google/yahoo index you site depends on popularity etc.

A tool I use to monitor rankings is http://www.cleverstat.com/en/google-monitor-query.htm

I've also tried rankchecker which is a firefox plugin but that didn't seem to give as accurate results. This tool still isn't perfect but if you are looking to rank for several different keywords it keeps tracks and records all the information.

It is not perfect but is pretty accurate and it's pretty simple to double check if it is correct.

put a listing on www.gumtree.co.uk and add the url within the listing, the site will be indexed in 1-2 days by google.
I got told this on friday put 3 new sites on and the next day they were indexed. try it, and post back any results. cheers
