Hi! My name is Linda and I've visited the site a couple of times to have a look around, and decided it's about time I joined, so here I am. Whilst I would like to contribute as much as possible to the forum, it seems there is obviously a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from too.
Have recently launched my own jewellery web site, but as this is a very competitive market would be glad of any advice or comments from other members, i.e. if the pages come down quickly enough, ease of navigation, or anything else.
Hi Linda and welcome.
As you have observed there is a vast wealth of knowledge on here that is made freely available to contributors.
Look forward to seeing you around!
ps tried to look at your website but www.silverreef.co.uk couldnt be found

Thanks for reply.
Seems that server went down early hours of this morning for the second time this week, don't know what the problem is yet.
Hi Linda,
Welcome to the forums!
I've just had a look at your site, and it is nice a warm but I do have some other comments I'm afraid.
Firstly, you have free delivery to the UK so I presume you are a UK business but all your prices are in dollars, which will put shoppers off.
You also have no contact information on your website other than an enquiry form, which is illegal for a EU commercial website not to have complete contact information available. I know you have your address mentioned twice hidden in your terms, but you must have a proper contact page with your address and phone number readily available.
On your privacy policy you must give a contact method for people to ask for their details be removed from your database.
I hope this is of help, other than that all is nice.

Thanks Ozzy. Have taken on board your comments and will rectify as soon as I can. We don't have the $ problem through Internet Explorer, but seems to be a problem through Netscape, which as yet we have been unable to solve. May ask for help on IT Forum.
I have tried several times to view site again but still appears to be down, which is really frustrating. :x
Have a chat with Matrixx on here, he may be able to help you with your hosting problems!
