It is always a sore topic for many companies. Even start ups. Without equity in a business, finance can only be raised with VC involvement.
As always the visionaries do not always present themselves.

Interestingly, I have been asked to get involved with a major project. Well almost. Raising a mere £40Million for a fantastic airline project. The story of finance remains the same. Unless there is a viable entrepreneur such like myself, that can see the potoential and returns. Given the risks too.

Does such a person exist. Well pointers in the right direction for this industry would be nice. Certainly someone with the capital that can understand a challenge and returns. Either, it does not matter.

Hi MArq,
Are you making a statement or a request?

If you are looking for discussion specifically relating to VC and the likes then I know member Innovateur has a VC and related forum running at http://www.innovateurs.com/forum/ and website that has some useful information on it.

Either way though, your route shoudl start with detailed market research and a veasability study before even considering looking for venture capital - as without that information none of them will even entertain talking with you.

Yes it is a statement and a request. thanks for the link.

To answer the question, extensive market research has been done. A very detailed business plan and backing from the right bankls based upon initial equity. Hence the request for additional funding to meet the target.. so to speak.

Very exciting project with enourmous potential. Finding the right calibre or interest of investors is what is needed now...

Many Thanks.
