I am looking to get a VoIP line in the office. Anyone got any experiences with suppliers?
I was looking at http://www.vonage.co.uk/call-plans/vplanuk/ the vonage VPlan which gives unlimited landline calls and 12p/min to mobiles for just £5.99 per month. Anyone got this package or a vonage package?
Any problems with clarity etc?
Cheers for everyone's help in advance.

I use gradwell. Others on here also use them. If they do have problems (let's face it, we all do from time to time) they fix it and keep customers up to date. There is a guy on here who supplies VOIP (voiptalk) who seems to be pretty well respected too. I am sure he will pop in at some time. That will give you a couple of good choices.

Hi guys,
If CRM, SMS etc are also on your shopping list.
We have VoIP as part of a suite of business applications (Customer Database, Group Calendars, Tasks, Maps, SMS gateway, eForms and One Number & Call Answering + plus a VoIP line per user.)
From £15 per month.

Yup, we do VoIP. We do a lot more than Vonage and are generally cheaper, plus our services are not run from the USA.

All VOIP providers pretty much do the full package these day, similar to what you can set up with land lines but with on-line flexibility. Things you should consider when selecting a provider are:
Do you want call costs in your local currency, Skype's Euro pricing has become very expensive recently?
Do you want a local number rather than a regional number, I'd see little benefit in a Birmingham number if you are based in Hereford? If you are only using call out then this doesn't matter.
Are you OK with time limit on call credits purchased? Some providers do give you a few months to use or lose any credits purchased.
Once you know what you want then you can try 2 or 3 different companies on call outs to test the software ease of use and call quality.

Thanks for all your input. I went with Gradwell in the end who charge £8.50/month with no set up costs and a free adaptor.
I did try to call your company CJD before going with Gradwell but I was on hold for a while!

If you want quality of service and are looking for a full hosted PBX with conference facilities etc rather than just 1 or two VOIP lines I would highly recommend Vostron(dot)net.
I use them myselves and the quality of the calls and the abilitys of the hosted PBX is fantastic. We use them across multiple offices all connected to the same phone system so transferring calls between multiple desinations, hunt groups across different locations etc is essential.

One of my customers uses Gradwell with an Asterisk based IPPBX and they seem pretty good. Have had a few service outages over the last couple of years but nothing major. Quality is pretty good on both SIP and IAX2 and if you use IAX2 you can also select a backup inbound number just in case your ADSL files. I used an ISDN-2 for that particular customer to provide inbound/outbound backup.
