Hi,
We've been creating a merchant site for the last months and it's been launched a few days ago.
I'd appreciate to receive some comments from you about it and maybe some suggestions to improve it.
I'd like to have also some tips about promoting it at a low cost if possible.
Our company is aiming at UK customers interested in products from young designers.

Thanks.
Kristoff.

A nice looking site, well designed with good navigation. Takes a little while to understand what is going on though.
I realised after a few clicks that the product images change on the home page regularly. Neat. Perhaps visitors may take their cue from what they see to tell them what the site offers and miss the range that is available. Maybe you need to track how long visitors stick around and whether or not they click onto a second page and also which combination of images causes the most click thrus.
The range is a little limited. I appreciate there is a degree of exclusivity here though.
Nope. Got me stuck. Perhaps I am not your target market :-)
Advertising? Well, others will be along shortly with lots of advice on this but:
1. Additional interesting related content on your site that is regularly updated will attract the search engines (I assume your site is optimised for the search engines already)
2. Quality links to/from other sites.
3. Something like googleads (adwords) which works for us and is highly flexible and controllable.
4. Local press looking for an interesting story.
After that, I think you start to get into serious money.

I found the navigation rather confusing at the product level. I'm not sure you are giving enough product information and it would be useful to have bigger and more explanitory images of the clothes for instance.
Compare your Normann washing up bowl page with this
http://www.sarf.co.uk/page.php?pid=productView&productid=144
eek and compare prices Sarf are £6 cheaper and have free delivery
I wanted to see your policy on P&P and I eventually found out it is £4.95. So on that bowl alone you are coming up over £10 more.
A cost efficient way of marketing a merchant online is affiliate marketing where you only pay commission on sales and not per click.

I liked the images and the designs, particularly the cushion with the floral thingy. I'm Scottish though, so my reaction tends to be "Och twelve hundred pounds for a chair!?" However, stifling that and attempting some southern sophistication, the products are attractively presented and I was gratified to note that you have a range of goods from the more affordable to the more expensive - I could envisage buying the notebook for someone for instance. I wouldn't take this too hard - I'm an actor and actors are notoriously broke. :) On the marketing front - I recall that it's possible to hire your house to a film company for reasonable return - I wonder if supplying designs to film companies might be a good marketing tool.

Hi there. Nice site and some gorgeous products. I like the minimalist colours that don't distract from your products. Do you have a bridal registry service? If so, I would be happy to link to you, as I think we may have similar target customers. If you want to send me a brochure I would be happy to put it in my studio for clients to browse through.
