Hey,

My neighbours PC has thrown a wobbly and after having a look at it for him tonight looks like it'll need a windows re-install, the tower has the COA sticker on it but he's not got the disks with him.

I've not got any of my stuff with me either down here at uni and a 470 mile round trip is probably a bit excessive to go find a CD :)

Is there an official source to grab them from? I've can get hold of OPK's from the Microsoft Partner site but have never used one before and don't know if they need the media as well - or if they'll do the trick?

Or failing that has anyone got one they'd mind ripping to iso and making available somewhere - seems to be a few hanging about on the torrents but don't know how clean they're likely to be.

Cheers,

Chris.

Some Uni's have the various iso's (including XP, Vista) to transfer onto a disk/usb. Maybe try to contact the vendor of the PC?

if you have a legit number on the sticker the the local PC shop should install a copy using the number on the sticker for a small fee
