Hi,

Has anyone here used Overture's Fast Track signup (£79). Are the extras you get for this worth the money or is it better to go for the standard signup assuming you know what you are doing in terms of keyword selection etc?

Thanks,
Dave.

Hi Dave,
With their fast track signup all they do is find one of your competitors who are using Overture and copy all their listings! Waste of money really. A know two companies (clients) who have used that service and been disappointed, not used it myself though so am only going by what I have heard.

Your best bet is to either do it yourself, or find a company that specialises in setting up PPC campaigns as they will set your campaign up specifically to what you want from it.

I am associated with a company that offers this service, so PM me if you would like an intro otherwise I'd suggest setting the campaign up yourself.

I am on overture and complained to them about getting billed for for a link to a pic on my site. All 90% of trafic for those 3 days was from another forum not a sponsered keyword. They replied to one of my questions but said nothing about this problem what does that say?

Nothing good I am afraid :(

I personally prefer Adwords and FindWhat

Overture are being sued for millions in Amercia due to click fraud, and I personally have had 2 articles published in .net and Internet Magazine about them and their "blind eye" to fraud.

Personally I don't like them, but they are a means to an end when it comes to getting good traffic from the likes of Yahoo! and MSN.

My advice is get a PPC management company in to look after your account with them, as they would be able to setup anti-click fraud checking on your website for you which can be used to fight for refunds from them. If you have strong evidence to put in front of them with the threat of legal action if they don't respond you will get results.
