Only tips I have for you is put google adsense on it, if you have it already..
its worth making abit of money while you do it.

Also provide as much content as humanly possible :)
give your readers plenty of juicy content.

You could offer the first 100 people that access your blog .. maybe 5-10% discount on your website. Write interesting news about new product releases, how to battle the credit crunch. I'm advising you from a customers point of view, what I would like to see and what makes me want to return to a blog. It has to most definitely be updated regularly, old news is no news;)

You could also feature other blogs on your blog, discounts, special offers. Every now and again, interview other businesses, blog owners, shop owners etc. Feature videos, pictures. And if you want to earn extra income from all that growing traffic;) Definitely get some ad space and affiliate programs on your blog! That's how everyone makes money from a blog these days.. the more traffic, double your leads and sales.

It would have been better to sign up to wordpress aswell because its so easier to access. Right now you have misiuk.blogspot.com which will be quite difficult for some people to remember, whereas with wordpress you can add your blog as a subdomain in your webhost public directory. For example, www.misiuk.co.uk/blog (http://www.misiuk.co.uk/blog). I find that very easy to remember and visit for next time.

You can do so much with wordpress, change the background, add colours, add fancy menu buttons, add widgets!
But blogspot is very restricted, its like in facebook not being able to change profile themes etc.

So your quite getting up to the social media ladder, you've begun your facebook app, blog.. but there is sooooooo much there to discover.

I'll give you some useful tips:
Sign up to twitter, let your users and customers know what your upto, release upto date news about your latest stock, special offers, events, competitions..

Add a bookmarking button from www.addthis.com (http://www.addthis.com), that will open your business status to literally the whole world for FREE!

Make a youtube channel, you dont need to record yourself if you dont want to, but get one of those screen recorder thingies, you can record the screen of your webpage as your surfing and commentate about it, let people know about new features of your website, latest stock, new competitions etc.

Most importantly, get an RSS Feed.. everyone has one on almost every website.

This is how you also get noticed by the media, if your unable to get them.. let them find you, its always the websites that stand out from the crowd who do something interesting and exciting do get noticed.

I could go on for hours.. but I'll let you explore the wonderful resources on the internet, they are free.. they can make you alot of money, increase your publicity status and just enjoy it really!

Best Regards

Naweed S.

Just try and stay ahead of others if you can! And make yourself known to the social media;)

btw, i've started a blog aswell, its for the best online shops in terms of website design, products and customer service. I'm quite wary of the copyright terms, but I would like to add your website because I just love it!
I'm the best when it comes to marketing a website, online or offline.. you'll recieve much more customers, leads, sales, interests etc:)
I want to take a screenshot of the frontpage, can I have your permission?
I'll let you know when the blog is up and ready.. within a week or so!

Kind Regards

Naweed Shams.

Great! That's the response I was aiming for:) I havent had one rejection from any other websites today. I've also got another website to showcase the best local independent shops, restaurants and cafes in UK and abroad.. but that's due for launch on April. Let me know of any other fantastic websites you think should be added on my website.

You may improve your basic SEO factors. At present you lack many "On-Page" SEO features, which will help you to increase your traffic from Search Engines (organic traffic).

About Blogging:

1. Update Daily (1 post per day is enough)
2. Add Bookmarking facilities
3. Add RSS/E-mail subscription facilities
4. Bring in Quality-Attractive content

A tip to write good content: Just close your eyes and think with a 3rd eye perspective. Think abt your industry and think from a customer perspective. Now think, as a customer what I want to know about? It will be simpler then for you to get an idea on what to write.

A small advice:

Its better you blog in a self hosted wordpress blog than in Free Blogspot platform. (considering rights to your content).

Does it not have SEO benefits using blogspot? Being that its run by google I though it was a good place to promote MISI. I felt it also a bit of a social networking thing as you can follow users and have them follow you back.

I have mini blogs on my site for all the users so I do get fresh content on there daily through blogs.
I just felt blogspot could have benefits is that not right then? :|

Google promots blogspot . But if you are serious about blogging , go for a self hosted wordpress. you may loose your blog so many people report it as spam (even if its not spam) . If you are looking for short term promotion , then blog spot is a good solution
