WELCOME ALONG :)

Anyway... my parents still send me text messages with everything in capitals. Every time I go and visit i sneak a gander at their phone and switch it to lower case. Then they text me whilst driving home (ironically enought to tell me to drive carefully) and it is all back in CAPS!

I speak to other people about it... it would seem it is a parent thing?

Hello Mandi, and welcome to the forums...

I think caps is an ebay thing where everyone seems to put the title in caps and then leaves it that way ;)

Hi Mandy

Now that we have established that you are a caps lock freak and that you have a postage cost issue.

Sorry yeah the caps lock thing is from ebay, don't even relise i'm doing it.

I have sold a few things in the past always made me a bit of money but this is more than doubling my money each time.

Its selling trainers, maybe its the time of year when it starts to get hot people always go out and get a nice new shiny pair of trainers.

There selling faster than i'v got them, i put them on buy it now and put in capitals please e-mail first to check i still have your size left and do people listen? No. There even e-mail me to say i have payed you for a size 4 and i don't even sell size 4's and it states in the listing the size's i sell and there all large size's people are so silly!

I'v change my working hours to part time to try and put more time into ebay, as i'm only young and just do admin im not lossing a good job any way.

Hi Mandy,

I am a shoe-a-holic and quite often look for bargains on E-bay. I do think it can be quite a profitable avenue if you find the right niche. I hope that you find alot of valuable advice on the forums to get you off to a good start with your business.

Regards,

-Angel-

Angel you share the same fetish as me, I think its working in a shoe shop during school that did it, Even the girlfriend compains I have more shoes than her.

Hi Mandi, wish you every luck with your venture, have you tried setting up a small site for your venture indepentant of ebay.

Some good free on e commerce solutions out there that need little knowledge.

My wife has very few shoes. Her feet are small - size 2 - and it turns out that there are only 4 manufacturers in the World of adult shoes in size 2. I where size 13!

Wlecome to the forum Mandi.

Hi Mandy,

Regarding people buying the wrong size and not reading what you have put.. the two things about the web is that nobody reads and you can never ever make it simple enough for everyone.

There is very little point in writing reams of info and then blaming the customer because they didn't read it. It might even be hard for them to read on the web for a variety of reasons.

I haven't seen your listing but I bet if we could have a look at one we could make some suggestions on how to make it a lot clearer and easier for people to understand exactly what it is you are offering.

This would lead to less email queries. Do you get a lot of the same queries over and over again? If you do there is something missing from your listings that people are looking for. If you give it to them you will reduce (but not eliminate because people don't read remember) your email work load.
