The first thing you need to do is educate your boss. Getting a website from PR0 to PR2 will do him no good SEOwise. The Tool bar PR (the green bar on the Google tool bar) has no correlation to organic rankings and therefore is of no use.

It is coming us a parked domain, really can't tell much can I? If the website is in the design and development phase, then it would good if you incorporate the on-page element during this phase.

You would have to read around a bit and ask when you get stuck. This forum is a good place to get your doubts clarified.

Page Rank, that is the Page Rank calculated and stored in data centers and not the one displayed on Google tool bar, is used in ranking algorithm. But there is no way of knowing the PR stored in data centers and it is recalculated more frequently than Tool bar PR.

Tool Bar PR is only updated once every couple of months. So every time you look at it, it is out of date. So relying on tool bar PR to get higher rankings will not deliver any positive results IMHO.

Hi,

PR - Page Rank : It's google measure of your site's rank . PR can be increased by getting link from high PR sites related to your site's topic.

Here in this case if you want to get PR0 , you need to get link from a couple of Pr3 sites .Use the following methods to get PR

Directory submission
3 - way link exchange
buying links

But I am telling you PR alone won't increase the traffic , its only one factor among hundreds.

hope this helps . If you have any further doubts , you can ask

Lets get something straight
If your boss is telling you, get any site to a PR2 or you do not have a job, then I think, credit crisis or not, spend every minute looking for a new job.

I would not work for him.

Now I know about SEO and if he told me he wanted a PR2, I would explain that PR is not everything and traffic is more important. I would also explain, there is no way I can guarantee any page rank in only a month.
Even if i did get some high PR links to the site, Google may not choose to update the PR bar for some time yet.

In short, even if he contacted me to become a paying customer, if this was his requirements, i would not take him on.

In fact if you realise links to quickly, the opposite can happen, and you can have a filter applied to the site, which could take years to recover

Thank you very much.
I know that link exchange is very important ,but how can I get that?
I have emailed some webmasters and they didn't reply to me.I really don't know how to get that.
And what do you mean "buying links"?Dose that mean I have to pay for that?My boss haven't give me any budget.

One-way link exchange is better than Reciprocal link exchange. You have to do live chat with webmaster for it.i hope it will be useful to you.

Urm? Am I the only one who visited corncart.com and saw a parked domain name?

If this is your bosses site, you've got now chance. Parked domains rarely get pagerank.

If I were you, Id spend the time on jobsite.com instead

If you resiter a domain and do not add any hosting to it , then it is a parked domain . If the registrar is godaddy , you can see some adverts from godaddy on that page

see what wikipedia says

Domain parking refers to the registration of an internet domain namee-mail or a website. This may have been done with a view to reserving the domain name for future development, and to protect against the possibility of cybersquatting. Since the domain name registrar will have set name servers for the domain, the registrar or reseller potentially has use of the domain rather than the final registrant. without that domain being associated with any services such as
Domain parking can be classified as monetized and non-monetized. In the former, advertisements are shown to visitors and the domain is 'monetized'. In the latter, an "Under Construction" or a "Coming Soon" message may or may not be put up on the domain by the registrar or reseller. This is a single-page website that people see when they type the domain name or follow a link in a web browser. Domain names can be parked before a web site is ready for launching.
