View Full Version : Valuing employee morale?

Hi,

I am trying to get a proposal through at my current employer (a digital advertising agency) to expand our R&D program and rotate people from the rest of the company through positions there. Currently 1 person gets to do basically anything he wants, while the 80 or so other creative and technical staff work 90-100% on client projects and have very little time to learn new skills.

I believe that one of the major benefits will be improved productivity from improved morale as people spend 3 months in our R&D group, then go back to the rest of the agency to work on "normal" projects again. I'm trying to do a cost/benefit analysis and put a number against this productivity boost though, and was hoping to find some kind of valuation model/research papers etc. out there, but I'm coming up short. I can guess, but was hoping for something better than just my guess.

Anyone have any ideas or know of anything I could look at?

Thanks.
