I need to create a quick website as part of my course at uni, but am struggling to find which web host to use.
I only need the website to run for a maximum of 2 months, and being a student, am looking for something pretty cheap. Would I have to set up the account and then cancel the subscription? Or is there somewhere I can set up a website for literally 2 months?
If any of you guys have got any suggestions, that'd be wicked.
Cheers

Hello, have a look at Hostgator. They do very cheap starter hosting (from about £5 a month), and only 1 month at a time. If you want your own domain, then you'll need to pay for it, but that will vary depending on what you choose. I use fasthosts to register domains for the websites i design, and also have my own account on hostgator...

Hi, we provide hosting for £15 per year
but I can sort you out 2 months for free.
The domain names tend to be subscriptions of;
.com = 1year minimum
.co.uk = 2years
we can sort either for £15 per year or just provide the dns settings for yourself to organise the domain seperately
if you want to pm me or visit our site www.vitatia.com we will sort it for you.
thanks
Jen

Maybe you would do better if you didn't keep posting this over and over in different forums?

Do you even need to purchase hosting? Why not run it locally using http://www.wampserver.com/
This guide here shows you how to install wordpress on it http://www.aniquito.com/2008/08/12/how-to-install-wordpress-on-local-machine/
Just an idea :)
