Am I doing something wrong?
We are looking to lease a new van and pickup for work. 2 weeks ago I went to a Nissan dealer to start the ball rolling for the van and mentioned I already had an 06 Navara, owned from new, that I wanted to part exchange for a new one on lease. They said they couldn't sort out about the van as the commercial depot was at Leeds?! and my details would be sent there, they would contact me directly. We will sort the Navara out when we've sorted the van out. I thought that was fine we need the van for March.
2 weeks later - Nothing- no email, phone call nothing!
Yesterday I was in town again so called in to see the same salesman. He was very sorry and would definately call or email all the details in the afternoon.
Still nothing!
This morning I emailed some details of a leaflet and business card that we wanted designing. This afternoon they called me to say a proof was ready for me to look at!
That is CUSTOMER SERVICE, most of these big nationwide companies need to step back and take a good look at their business and customer relations. No wonder some are shutting up shop!
THEY DESERVE ALL THEY GET!!!!
Rant over.

Hi Ben
We are a lawn care company. We want to get the van sorted so that it can be kitted out ready for the season to start in March.
Hi Boxby
I don't want to admit who it was really:redface:
Even Vans Are Not Sold Halshaw!
I've read a lot of reports about them on the internet. Trouble is, all Nissan dealers seem to be the same.

From my experience of commercial van dealers - there is a lot of laziness. The assumption that you need the van, therefore you'll chase them.
A bad attitude to have during these times.

I think they are in such deep **** that one van sale will not a recessiuon buster make. Appathy is spreading all around.

It took us 5 weeks to get BT to install a new phone line in the office - Not because there was a waiting list, but because they screwed up the order no less than 8 times. Even when they did come, it was because I spoke to a non-moron in a callcentre and she advised me to "get the wrong line put in and file a fault report right away".

Yup, all my kids have reported problems ordering stuff in the past month. Modem supposed to have arrived 5/10 days still not there 18 days later, mobile phone supposed to be in the post but apparently not in stock. We rang a utility supplier for new premises and agreed for them to handle our electric and gas. One week later they say there is no record of the conversation.

That's pretty good for BT! ;)

Ordered my BT line online and got various email updates, phone calls, great engineer and it was all done and dusted within about 10 days.

I have to admit, I was impressed with how easy and straightforward it was to get set up initially. However, because I wanted a specific line (within the building) connected, the automated process fell down and it all went to rat sh*t.

But garages are all always the same to be honest. Everytime I have bought a car no one ever tries to sell me upgrades, or add on's or extras!!! Nothing at all, most of the time they can't be bothered and then aftersales is always awful, you would think they would want to keep you coming back for services etc to keep you loyal, most of the time they couldn't give a monkeys!
I am afraid its like Woolworths they got what was coming to them in the current climate, people that do want to spend will want better!

I rang a potential new supplier for my shop yesterday.I get a lot of 'pensioners' in for their dance shoes and one guy had seen these shoes he really wanted. He came back in with a brochure and pleaded with me to try and get them in.If I could he would over 20 pairs as it was a for a dance troupe.
So I rang them yesterday. The brochire looked very professional and I was surprised to get through , to what sounded like, someones home number.A dear 'pld' woman answered the telephone, she was rather confused and I thought I had the wrong number as I could hear the tv in the background then she passed me to her husband. He wasn't too keen to supply to shops, said it wasn't something they normally do and how many exactly would I be wanting! In fact he sounded quite shocked I wanted to buy them!
Surely they would want all the business they could get? They are ringing me back today with an answer.
No wonder I had never heard of them before, sounds like it is more of a hobby than a business
