Hi All,
Being relatively new to all this I have been trying various methods for marketing.
I came across http://www.noozles.com last week who offer ezine inclusion.
I paid my money by Paypal and have heard absolutely nothing since even though I have e-mailed them twice, it has been more than a week now.
Has anyone heard of them ? Do you think I have been ripped off ? Is there anything I can do ... maybe contact Paypal ?
Thanks
Lisa

I have never heard of them nor know if you have been ripped off but I would really advise you to do the research on suppliers BEFORE you order.
If you are not confident in where to place your advertising/marketing spend efficiently please pay someone to do it for you(in the long run it will be much better than just trying things out)
Looking at the noozles.com website I really wouldnt touch it with a barge pole unless I knew up front who the e zines were from, what their target audience was, is the distribution certified and can they gurantee that your advertising will appear (site seems to suggest that there will be no such guarantee!)

I did try to check them out a little before I bought, but obviously not hard enough! I also made the wrong assumption that because they had a Paypal account they were ok.
Thanks for your advice.

Hi Lisa,
I did a quick google search for them and didn't find too much, certainly nothing negative.
In terms of credibility of a company, one of the things I look for is the ways to contact them. If its email only or mobile phone only then I usually look elsewhere. I like to be able to phone them if something isn't going as I expected.
You could try looking up the domain in the whois database to find out who is the registered owner of the domain. There is usually contact details in the registration record.

Bill

Thanks Bill, I will certainly be more cautious in future, it was only $18 but still money is money. Whois is a good idea... hadn't though of that one.
I have recorded a complaint with Paypal so hopefully that will nudge things along.
I think your comments about contact information is very interesting, might have to rethink our 'contact us' page.....
Thanks
Lisa

didnt 10yetis offer to help you out?
I would certainly have a chat to him, he's very amiable and should even manage to point your £200(less $ 18) in the right direction :)
(cannot see why its put the emoticon instead of the 8 but i give up trying to get it right)
