I'm an amazon seller living in the uk and I would like to know whether its possible to sell on the united states site (amazon.com)?
I've contacted amazon regarding this, and was informed I need a US bank account, a US phone number, and a US address. I've looked into this a little and I think it maybe possible to get these things somehow, but I'm not sure.
Basically, I would like to know if there are any Uk sellers out there who do sell on the Us amazon.com, and if so how did you go about doing this? Whats the quickest way to go about getting the three requirements I've mentioned without having to actually go to the States?
Thanks in advance for your help :)

I frequently buy CD's & DVD's off amazon.CO.UK and they come from the states. So surly its possible to do it the other way round
Best of luck, let us know how you get on

I think the answer is no in the same account way, they tend to keep them separate.
But, I think you can, you probably need two accounts to do it, I could be wrong though so just give them a bell and find out.

you can, but you need a US bank account number - there is info on the .com site, but you need to search for it (or even try opening an account!).

Thanks!
I can get the bank account and the us credit card but they claim you need a US telephone number so I was wondering how it would be possible to do that we want our customer service to handle calls here in the Uk.
Thanks!

US callers calling a UK customer service department is going to be expensive for them. Plus the time difference also could be a concern.

can you not just make your amazon UK store available to international buyers?

You can. they broadcast this fact on the seller central home page a month or so back so as to allow me people to cash in on the exchange rate.
Pretty straight forward to organise, just edit your shipping configuration and you're off.
Helps me a little but not dramatically. Maybe four or five internationals a week:)
