Web shopping directories

Hi, is it worth listing on shopping directories. I know they want a back link but do they bring any trafic. If so, which are the best ones for fashion and is it worth paying to be listed. Thanks

This may be of help, i was looking at this not too long ago, i presume that is what you call edirectory, a shopping directory:

Take a look, in general it doesn't seem to be that good an idea.

search these forums for 'edirectory' (sorry i cannot post links yet)

It may be worth listing in them if there are no upfront costs.

Stardust - please be very careful if you are thinking of listing with edirectory - they want huge upfront fees and are very pushy.

With regard to shoppping directories I have listed with a few but don't get much traffic, no more than one or two clicks a month from each.

It may be worth looking at your keywords and seeing which directory, if any comes up in google for the word and listing in that?

Had a look at my clicks and I do get some from shopbritain also Shobby and Freeindex which are all free. Doesn't do any harm to give them a go!
