Hi all
Just have a question about PPC on google, we have been working hard on the account and now have a ctr of about 25% which I think is good??? used to be about 3% when we first started so I am happy!
Now we only have adwords running for one of our websites until we got better at what we were doing but we have five sites altogther that I want to use adwords on. Two of the sites are very differenet however the other three sites will overlap on keywords and I have read a post on here that says I will be in trouble with google if I do this?
Now the three sites in question sell different stock, aimed at differenet age groups but will still be targeting some of the same keywords like "Mens Jewellery" for example.
So feedback on the best way to tackle this would be great, I am guessing it might have to be timing the ads to come on and off so they don't overlap?

Hi Stu
High CTR's
Well done on this - but if you are getting such high CTR's you may be being too cautious. Have you checked your quality scores and conversions rates for each keyphrase - these are more important?
My proven strategy is to structure the account correctly (lots of very specific ad groups) and then prune phrases/ads below 1% CTR. You may be being too ruthless and loosing traffic and conversions!
I would be happy to give you a free audit, to help you benchmark your performance.
New PPC and Analytics accounts for each website
With regard to your other websites, Google will only let you bid on one keyphrase per account; so I would recommend setting up different gmail accounts for each website and then use this to create PPC and linked Analytics. This will allow you to bid against yourself and see what is happening in Analytics.
If you then run some keyphrases that are the same; it won't matter too much, as you should have ads that relate to each target market and website. I suspect that if you then optimise for CTR's and conversions you may find that each website will have its own pool of successful keyphrases.
It is not a big problem competing against yourself as you should not be aiming for positions 1-3 anyway, if you aim for positions 4-8 you should still get high CTR's (and pay less).
Good luck and have a look at our website where there is loads of free articles on PPC.

ctr of about 25% is very high. congratulations and i think in adwords you can modify your keywords into broad and specific types. try experimenting with that, as they would be the same word but different method of searching by google and display wise.
Hope that helps

Congrats on Good CTR. I suggest you to have an MCC accounts for separate website and use it by a single login. It will be easy for you to handle your accounts
