Ribbons and Pearls is a new company I opened my shop 4 weeks ago selling pre owned wedding dresses.
I have over 100 dresses in stock now and they are all featured on my website. The website launched in july last year currently receives about 100 - 150 hits per day.
I can source just about everything you need for a cost effective wedding, having been a project manager in a former life, and having just got married myself I know exactly how you feel. £££££'s just disappearing and bridal salons wanting 6 months advance order on the dress.

erm... wow... never been asked that live on a forum....

sit back, relax whilst i wax lyrical.

We do a spot of PR (help people get their business into the paper or magazines or in the worst case scenario, when things go wrong we help them manage the situation)

We have a dabble at marketing... if you are looking to launch a product or want to get your enquiry volume up (phones ringing) then we come up with campaigns that help you achieive this. This can range from a striaght forward sales letter or writing text for your site, through to a large ad campaign.

We do a smidgin of design... so gripping posters or ads for use in shops or press... or even a bit of corpprate branding (helping you develop a logo and a full set of stationairy design)

We do a sprinkling of web design (not much of this as the market is saturated with people saying "i can do it for free to build my portfolio), but we keep it in reserve nonetheless

But the one thing we do most of all is fight the perception that marketing and PR is expensive... It isn't! It should only cost as much or as little as you want it to!

Hi Viv, welcome to the forum. Have to confess to some self interest as my wife runs a business (LAM Design) making new wedding dresses (amongst other things). Good luck with your market though. The PR from Women's Own should do you a lot of good.
