I have not registed my business i think i need an accountant anyone know of any

Hello,

i need an accountant in merseyside area one that offers free consultation for new business,

right i start my business up though a start up shceme but i ran it for about a month had no sales so just left,

then in novenmber last year i went on to my website and notice i had people sign up and i had sales so this give me a belief that mabye this business can work,

so as of november 24 2008 i sarted my business of i have not registed anyting with anyone am bit lost there

at this moment in time i have had 64 sales and have over 300 people registed to my site, i know think its time to look at the legal side of things what i should be doing

i dont think i would have to pay much tax as my profit is very small
but i wont know till i see an accountant i think i have put off increase they tell me to foget my business or its gonna cost me arm and a leg

but untill find out i wont know

You need to register as self employed within 3 months of starting your business or you will incurr a fine - £100

You will also need to register for Class 2 NI contribution of £2.30 per week although you can get an exemption if your earnings are below £4,825.

It sounds like you need to draw up a business plan. Most Accountants will offer a free consultation. There are many good ones that post on here and someone may be in your area.

To set your mind at rest, you will not incur the £100 fine if you earned less than £4,825 so that you don't have to pay the Class 2 NIC. From your post, I'd guess that would be the case.

yeah i knew about the fine i did a business start up
and i have a full business plan,

i just need an accountant to have chat with and see what sholud be doing
i do also work agency work so that can be class as a full time job and my website is my spare time

am gonna look for account that may offer a free service to start with
