I am a director of a specialist leasehold and property management service called Pro-Leagle (www.proleagle.com) (http://www.proleagle.com%29).

I started the business following a difficult period with the managing agents of my own property.

I campaign on behalf of all leasehold house and flat owners to raise awareness of this issue and to enable leaseholders to better assert their rights.

Newly created legislation provides leaseholders with greater powers over how their property is managed and by whom. This means leaseholders can inexpensively challenge service charges, manage the property themselves (using the Right to Manage procedure), buy the freehold from the freehold owner with or without his/her consent or, alternatively, extend their lease.

If you would like to learn more, please contact me to discuss.

An excellent greeting line that really confused me for a second. I thought surely no one owns leasehold property, it is leased, and then realised that of course someone must own it in the first place to be able to lease it out. Where I still get confused though is when people buy property and then then lease them to themselves. (No doubt it involves various company identities and has many tax benefits but it does seem yet another layer of complexity consider for many businesses).

Welcome to the forum.

I am sure your advice will be much appreciated and no doubt some will take up your services fully.
